Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how BuntuServe ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use this website or request a quote. We process personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

1. Who we are

BuntuServe is a technical services and facilities management company based in Cape Town, South Africa, providing electrical, equipment repairs, refrigeration & HVAC, facilities, plumbing & jetting, and operational solutions across Cape Town and surrounds since 2024. Our website is buntuserve.co.za.

  • Registered name: Buntuserve Proprietary Limited, Reg. No. 2025/373664/07
  • Address: 15 Firgrove Way, Macassar, Cape Town, Western Cape, 7130
  • Information Officer: Sejal Nagesur
  • Contact for privacy matters: informationoffice@rohloffgroup.co.za

2. What information we collect

We only collect the information you choose to give us through our quote / contact form:

  • Your name;
  • Your company or property (optional);
  • Your email address;
  • Your phone number;
  • The service you're interested in and the location of the site (optional);
  • The message / details you provide about your enquiry.

Separately from the form, we use website analytics to see how the site is being used. This does not tell us who you are — see section 3 below. We do not use advertising trackers. This policy will be updated, should there be any changes.

3. Cookies and website analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this website — for example, which pages are viewed most and whether people can find what they need. This helps us improve the site.

For this purpose, Google Analytics collects:

  • the pages you view on this site and how long you spend on them;
  • your approximate location — country and city level only, not a precise address;
  • your device and browser type (for example, mobile or desktop, Chrome or Safari);
  • how you arrived at the site (for example, from a search engine, a link, or by typing the address).

It does not collect your name, email address, phone number, or anything else you type into our contact form. Those details are handled only as described elsewhere in this policy.

To do this, Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies — small files stored by your browser that let it recognise a repeat visit without identifying you personally.

Google acts as a third-party operator (processor) for this analytics data and handles it under its own privacy terms: policies.google.com/privacy.

If you'd rather not be included, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's official opt-out add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Opting out will not affect your ability to use this website or to contact us.

4. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use the information above solely to respond to your enquiry, understand the work you need, prepare a quote, and contact you about it. Our lawful basis under POPIA is your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box and submitting the form. You may withdraw consent at any time (see your rights below).

5. Who we share it with (operators / processors)

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate, who process it on our behalf under appropriate safeguards:

  • Web3Forms — processes and delivers our contact-form submissions to us by email. See Web3Forms' own privacy terms for how they handle data in transit.
  • Our website host — a third-party hosting provider that stores and serves this website.
  • Google (Google Analytics) — processes website usage data as described in section 3. It does not receive your contact-form details.

Some providers may process data outside South Africa; where they do, POPIA requires comparable protection to apply.

You acknowledge and agree that third-party service providers operate independently of us and are solely responsible for their own acts, omissions, systems and services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising solely from the conduct or failures of such third-party service providers, and any claim in respect thereof must be brought directly against the relevant service provider.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information only as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your request, and to keep reasonable business records, and no longer than is reasonably necessary for those purposes. We then delete or anonymise it.

7. How we protect it

We implement reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect personal information. However, the transmission and storage of information via electronic means is inherently subject to risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss or damage arising from any unauthorised access, data breach, interception, corruption, loss or misuse of personal information.

8. Your rights under POPIA

Subject to POPIA, you have the right to:

  • be told what personal information of yours we hold and to access it;
  • request that we correct or delete information that is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, or out of date;
  • object to our processing and withdraw your consent;
  • lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

9. How to exercise your rights

To access, correct, or delete your information, or to withdraw consent, contact our Information Officer at informationoffice@rohloffgroup.co.za. We'll respond within a reasonable period as required by POPIA.

You may also contact the regulator:

  • Information Regulator (South Africa) — inforegulator.org.za; complaints: POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
